Are you smoking rabbit poo?

Holiday-makers smelled a rat, or a rabbit, when they lit up and realised they were smoking bunny droppings.

The British tourists sniffed out the counterfeit cigarettes while holidaying in the Canary Islands.

The fakes had been labelled as famous brands and were destined to be sold on the black market.

But, the tourists contacted customs officials when they noticed the cigarettes smelled and tasted nothing like the real thing.

"They stunk. They smell just as you'd imagine burning poo to smell," said one customs official in Tenerife, adding, "They not only smell bad but the toxic chemicals they give off are pure poison.”

Police and customs officials launched an undercover operation to intercept the cigarettes as they landed on a boat from China.

The investigation led to police and officials confiscating more than £1 million worth of counterfeit rabbit-dropping cigarettes and the arrest of 12 smugglers.

Who would have thought of that anyways?
BUT definitly a good way to make people stop smoking becasue they know that they could be tricked into something like that one day.

I once bought a bottle of perfume( or so i thought ) from a market and even though i smelt the perfume when i bought it once i got home i found out that i have been cheated as the so called perfume was replaced with a bottle of wee and stunk so badly.

If these were bought of the Black Market, they should've anticipated it would happen.

As the saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is", and I think this is just another classic illustration.

True, regulations have been broken in that the cigarettes don't contain what they should, but aren't the tourists breaking the law for buying goods they know are fake?

Well smoking is a dirty habit an smoking rabbit poo just proves how dirty this habit can get. you can rarely know what is in those things an it is overall just a poison which regardless of whats in it will slowly kill you most likely
